Calibration Engineer

The Company

My client has over 50 years’ experience in the design manufacture of market-leading electrical test equipment. They offer a wide range of electrical test equipment serving a wide variety of safety testing and precision measurement applications. They have been benefiting from excellent growth and they are now looking to offer a calibration engineer an opportunity to become part of this successful company.

The Role

You will be personally responsible for calibration on test equipment such as portable appliance testers, milliohmmeters, high voltage indicators and comprehensive hipot testers, all for use in a variety of industries including manufacturing, construction, education, utilities, aerospace and calibration.

Your duties will be as follows:

• To prioritise workload so that customer requirements and laboratory turnaround objectives are achieved.
• To ensure company standards of quality and safety are adhered too.
• To assist on the job technician training where required.
• To procure calibration records and procedures for new products.
• To maintain tools and test equipment, specially ensuring the test equipment is suitable for its requirements.
• Be competent in repair to component level and be able to prepare concise repair quotations.
• Be able to demonstrate an understanding in measurement uncertainties.
• Be prepared to work away from site as and when required.

Candidate’s Profile:

• Essential
  • HNC or Degree or City & Guilds in Electrical or Electronics
  • Experience in Calibration of Test Equipment
