Calibration Engineer

The Company

My client is a major manufacturer, specialising within the electronic Test and Measurement industry who has been benefiting from excellent growth and they are now looking to offer a Calibration & Repair Engineer an opportunity to become part of this highly successful international manufacturer.

The Role

You will be personally responsible for calibration and repairs down to component level to Test Equipment used within the RF and Microwave fields.

Your duties will be as follows:

• To prioritise workload so that customer requirements and laboratory turnaround objectives are achieved.
• To ensure company standards of quality and safety are adhered too.
• To assist on the job technician training where required.
• To procure calibration records and procedures for new products.
• To maintain tools and test equipment, specially ensuring the test equipment is suitable for its requirements.
• Be competent in repair to component level and be able to prepare concise repair quotations.
• Be able to demonstrate an understanding in measurement uncertainties.
• Be prepared to work away from site as and when required.

Candidate’s Profile:

• Essential
  • HNC or Degree or City & Guilds in Electrical or Electronics
  • Experience in RF or Microwave Technologies
  • Professional attitude

• Desired
  • Experience within the Test & Measurement industry; or
  • Calibration House; or
