Our client has a very strong dedicated radio engineering team for all your requirements across the UK. Each of their staff member is trained by the leading manufacturers to the highest standard and provided with the latest DMR and Tetra test sets to ensure even the latest equipment can be repaired to component level.

The Role

You will be working within the dedicated engineering team and be personally responsible for providing bespoke technical solutions for customers and SME on all Radio Engineering.

Role Includes:

• Design and build of bespoke technical solutions in line with customer requirements.
• Provide Technical assurance to customers.
• Preparation CODEPLUGS/FLEET Plans for customer requirements (Motorola & Hytera).
• Installation, Troubleshooting and maintenance of telecommunication equipment’s from different vendors: Hytera, Motorola, Tait, Simoco, Kenwood and Icom
• Site Maintenance and servicing
• Faults Management with log analysis, defects debug and work around responsibility
• Business support: customer needs analysis and customer presentation of new products
• Involved in providing Technical Support to the communication systems in major contracts

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years related experience within PMR (Private Mobile Radio)
• Knowledge of PMR programming software – Tait, Simmoco, Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM and Hytera
• Trunk Radio (MPT1327) database management
• COTS radio repair down to component level, namely Tait, Simmoco, Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM and Hytera
• Broader technical skills, specifically in the design of bespoke solutions
