Project Manager

The Company:

One of the fastest growing players in the widening DAS (distributed antenna systems) sector, our client is a leading provider of 2G, 3G, 4G & Wi-Fi/WiMAX wireless telecommunication technologies.  As a result of continued and ongoing expansion, the company is presently seeking to appoint a proven ­­­Design Manager to help shape the future direction of the Engineering business unit.

The Position:

The appointed Project Manager will assume responsibility for:

• Managing the lifecycle of In-Building System projects from design through to build completion
• Creating lasting relationships with both internal co-workers and key customers to ensure delivery of KPIs
• Generating accurate cost collations for customers and ensuring profitability through controlling budgets
• Prompt raising, approval and invoicing of cost variations in line with customer requirements
• Site management of internal and external personnel
• Liaising with Installation department to ensure quality standards are maintained on built projects, including initiating audits and managing non-conformities where necessary

The Candidate:

Applicants will be required to demonstrate:

• Good track record of project management in the telecommunications industry, including formal training (PRINCE2, APM, PMI)
• Proven success within a customer-facing role, managing relationships with key clients
• Strong grasp of Microsoft Project and other Project Management tools
• High-energy personality, with the ability to self-motivate as well as motivating others
• Effective time management, with the ability to oversee a project from concept to timely completion
• Relevant training (CDM Awareness, Asbestos, Health & Safety)
• Knowledge of finance and the ability to create quotations & track margins
• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills

The following would also be advantageous, but are not essential:

• Experience of working with Wireless or PMR systems
• Understanding of in-building project implementation, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) – MiMO and LTE
• Security Clearances (e.g. MOD, police, BAA)
