Service Engineer

The Company

Established over 70 years ago and with a global turnover of in excess of £30 million, our client is the leading manufacturer and provider of innovative electronic controls, monitoring and communication solutions predominantly into the petro-chem, aviation fuels, oil and gas industries. They are seeking someone with a good technical understanding of electromechanical products within an engineering environment and experience of maintaining equipment in the above mentioned markets.

The Role

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for:

• Planned and reactive maintenance of fluid storage and transportation equipment
• Electromechanical service, repair and overhaul of control systems, monitoring sensors and signal communication technology
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment and technology at client sites including refineries, airports and industrial process plants
• Working in close liaison with the external and internal sales teams to provide expert technical support, applications advice and operations training to all customers

The Requirements

The successful applicant must, as a minimum, hold the following requirements for the last 2 years:

• Proven track record of commissioning and maintaining an electronic bias product – preference will be given to those who have experience in overfill prevention, tankfarm automation, tank inventory, tank terminals, liquid level sensing or storage terminals.
• Those with an electrical or electro-mechanical related product will still be considered
• Strong understanding of the petro-chem, aviation fuels, process industries, oil and gas markets.
• Based in Antwerp, Mechelen or North Brussels
• Must be fluent in English, a knowledge of French is advantageous

In addition to the above the candidate will also possess some of the following:

• An electrical/electronic related degree
• Experience of electronic gauging and sensing systems
• Experience with transfer of Hazardous materials
• Experience in sales and contractual negotiations
• Excellent communication skills
• Extensive sales experience
• Engaging and outgoing personality, be a good team player and possess the desire and commitment to deliver superior results
